Somatic Solutions

Somatic Solutions uses specific exercises to help increase body awareness by improving movement, decreasing pain, and soothing the nervous system. Learning to connect movement, thought, and intention can greatly improve your overall experience of wellbeing. 

The Somatic Approach of the Feldenkrais Method will be introduced through each movement lesson during the Sunday Somatic Solutions class. You will learn how to use simple movement with attention to engage your brain and nervous system to improve your full body organization with ease and lightness.

Additional Details

Doors open 15 minutes before class begins and LOCK two minutes before class begins for safety and security.

Students should wear comfortable clothing for movement and, if desired, bring a water bottle. Wellspring has some mats for student use, and blocks, bolsters, blankets and straps for all students.

For the comfort of all, please refrain from using perfume or heavily scented products before class.

We strongly encourage all students to leave cell phones outside of the studio; any phones in the building must be silenced or off

We strongly encourage all students to stay for the entire class, early departures can disrupt the flow of class for teachers and other students. For those on a tight schedule, departing quietly as the rest of the class transitions to shivasana (resting pose) is a great option.
